Here Jason Griffey posted a graphic of the word frequency from Cryptonomicon. Certainly a pretty cool way to analyze this info in a more visual way.

No comments10 warning signs that your child is a HACKER!
OK this is REALLY old news but still kind of funny (sad funny) here is a good excuse to post a youtube clip, of TSS Leo LaPorte and Martin Sargent exploring a story from adequacy.org that details 10 WARNING SIGNS that your child is an evil HACKER! And number 4 is the presence of Hacking Manuals (wouldn’t it be a good thing if your child had and had read all of these books?…) the first ones listed are Snow Crash and Cryptonomicon, by the infamous Neal Stephenson. But there are other great books listed too, that might be of interest if you have not read them all ready.
No commentsBatman Beyond
Over at Press the Action Button, is an interesting story about what could have been! It seems that there was initial work done on a script for a live action Batman based in the Batman Beyond setting. And it seems that Mr. Stephenson was part of some of that work, which unfortunately ended up without being completed. I suppose there is always hope as the Batman franchise seems to have new life with the Nolan directed Batman movies.
1 commentNeil Gaiman and Neal Stephenson talk…
Neil Gaiman and Neal Stephenson, having breakfast together. WOW it took just a second to fully realize just how cool it would have been to hear those guys talking about ANYTHING let alone fountain pens…kind of a pen junkie myself. But still I bet these guys could talk about the current weather pattern and I would be glassy-eyed and nodding my abject approval.
